GHSA Reclassification releases 2016-18 Regions

After many years as one of the smaller 6A schools in the state, the Harrison Hoyas remained in Class 6A as the rest of our old region (Hillgrove, Kennesaw Mountain, McEachern, Marietta, North Cobb, and North Paulding) moved up to the newly created Class 7A.  The Hoyas will begin play in this new classification and new

Wrestling team wins vs. North Cobb

Congratulations to our Varsity and JV wrestlers on their victory in the dual match vs. North Cobb in the Presidential Gym on Wednesday night.  The JV team outscored North Cobb 31-24 and the Varsity team won 37-36.  Next, our wrestlers will participating in the Blackbeard Duals on Saturday at Allatoona High School.

Harrison Rifle team in action

We’d like to wish our Harrison Rifle team members the best of luck this season as they work towards another state competition appearance at the end of the season.  Their season has just started and the team competed against Allatoona High School on Tuesday night.  Go Hoyas!!

XC finishes season in Carrollton

Congratulations to our Cross Country runners after completing another successful season on the rain soaked course in Carrollton, Georgia on Saturday.  The Lady Hoyas finished 7th in the Class 6A standings and our boys finished 20th.

1st Team All State

Congratulations to junior Lady Hoya volleyball player Katie Doering on being selected by the volleyball coaches of Georgia as a Class 6A 1st Team All State member.  Katie helped lead the Lady Hoyas to a Region Championship, Cobb County Championship, and a Semi Final berth in the Class 6A state playoffs.

Hoya QB’s current (Justin Fields) and former (Lorenzo Nunez)

Hoya QB’s took a few moments to hang out during the pre-game warm ups as the University of South Carolina and freshman Lorenzo Nunez traveled to play at the University of Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.  The Vols won a close game 27-24.

Hoya Hoopla on Saturday

The Harrison Hoya girls and boys basketball teams would like to invite everyone out to this weekend’s Hoya Hoopla on Saturday evening from 5pm-8pm in the Presidential Gym.  Admission is free and our high school, junior program, and HYBA teams will be recognized.  Let’s all come out to support our players and coaches.
