Competition Cheer wins

Congratulations to our Coed cheer competition on their victory this past weekend at Johns Creek High School.  The team will be competing this weekend at Kennesaw Mountain High School.  Go Hoyas!!!!!!!!

Riley headed to “The Swamp”

Congratulations to Riley Fischer on her recent commitment to the University of Florida volleyball team.  She’s been an integral part of another successful season of Hoya volleyball as her and the team get ready for the Area Tournament next Saturday (Oct. 10th) at Marietta High School.

Wrestlers help out at DWUMC

A special thanks to the Harrison High School wrestling team on helping out at the “pumpkin unload” at Due West United Methodist Church.  Players and coaches spent Wednesday afternoon assisting members of DWUMC with this effort.  Great job Hoyas.    

Wendy’s High School Heisman

Harrison High School is proud to announce this year’s Wendy’s High School Heisman winners for 2015-16; Emma Chorney and Seth Simmer.  Both of these outstanding seniors are multiple sport athletes who’ve worked as hard in the classroom as they have on the competitive fields.  Emma will be playing lacrosse at Furman University next year and

Congrats to Kim Watson

Congratulations to Kim Watson, Harrison’s Teacher of the Year, on being selected as “The Game Changer Teacher of the Week” by Cobb County Kia and 92.9 The Game.  Mrs. Watson has been at Harrison for twenty five years teaching math and is our assistant coach for the Hoya Swim and Dive team.

Hoya football team travels to North Paulding on Friday

The Hoya football team has a very important region game on Friday night at North Paulding High School vs. the Wolfpack.  Let’s come out and support our players, coaches, cheerleaders, and band members in this game.  Game time will be at 7:30pm.

Congrats to coach Matt Jones

The Lady Hoya fast pitch defeated Lowndes this past Friday during the Fall break to give head coach Matt Jones his 100th win as head coach of the Lady Hoyas.  We’d like to congratulate him on this honor and look forward to the girls finishing the region as the # 1 seed and possibly hosting

Hoyas Rally for 4 Quarters 4 Research

We’re very proud of the Harrison community for raising over $11,000 dollars for the Rally Foundation’s 4 Quarters 4 Research to fight Childhood Cancer.  It was a great night to recognize the families that have fought this disease.  Thanks again for coming out and supporting this cause along with our Hoyas in a great football

Former Hoya looks to get on field vs. UGA on Saturday

Former Harrison Hoya QB Lorenzo Nunez has been sharing reps with the first-team offense for the South Carolina Gamecocks in preparation for Saturday night’s game vs. Georgia.  Nunez is a true freshman that graduated from Harrison this past May that will give Coach Steve Spurrier a run/pass threat in the backfield for the Gamecocks.
