Fall standings for the GADA Cup

The Harrison Hoya athletic program is currently in 5th place in the overall Class 6A standings after the completion of the fall sport’s season.  On the girls side, the Lady Hoyas currently sit in second place as we move into the winter sport’s season.  Great effort thus far by our players and coaches. http://gadaonline.net/Current_Standings.html

H2oyas win the Mustang Invitational

Congratulations to the Harrison H2oyas on placing 1st in the 16th annual Mustang Invitational this past weekend.  The girls team finished first and the boys team finished third for an overall team finish of 1st place.

Tate Wells wins Outstanding Wrestler

Senior Tate Wells was chosen as the Most Outstanding Wrestler at this past weekend’s Hoya Wrestling Invitational.  Wells won his weight class and helped lead the young Hoyas to a 2nd place finish behind Grayson High School in the Invitational.  Congratulations to Tate and the rest of the Hoya wrestlers and coaches.

Harrison Rifle Team defeats North Cobb

Congratulations are in order to our Harrison rifle team. They defeated North Cobb on Wednesday night 1112 to 1104. Harrison’s Benjamin Davis became the Hoyas 1st qualifier for the State competition by scoring a 291 out of 300.    

Ted’s Athlete of the Month

Hoya fans we’re excited to launch a new partnership with Ted’s Montana Grill at the Avenue to recognize a Hoya female and male Athlete of the Month starting on December 6th. Each month, we’ll list the accomplishments of our student athletes and enable you to vote on which one you think is the most deserving

GHSA Reclassification releases 2016-18 Regions

After many years as one of the smaller 6A schools in the state, the Harrison Hoyas remained in Class 6A as the rest of our old region (Hillgrove, Kennesaw Mountain, McEachern, Marietta, North Cobb, and North Paulding) moved up to the newly created Class 7A.  The Hoyas will begin play in this new classification and new

Wrestling team wins vs. North Cobb

Congratulations to our Varsity and JV wrestlers on their victory in the dual match vs. North Cobb in the Presidential Gym on Wednesday night.  The JV team outscored North Cobb 31-24 and the Varsity team won 37-36.  Next, our wrestlers will participating in the Blackbeard Duals on Saturday at Allatoona High School.

Harrison Rifle team in action

We’d like to wish our Harrison Rifle team members the best of luck this season as they work towards another state competition appearance at the end of the season.  Their season has just started and the team competed against Allatoona High School on Tuesday night.  Go Hoyas!!
