Coach Steve Lenahan begins his ninth season at Harrison High School as the Varsity Girls Head Coach. Since taking the helm in 2008, Coach Lenahan, with the help of many amazing assistant coaches, boosters, players, parents, and his family, has led the Lady Hoyas from the bottom of the region to the top of the State. Each year the program continues to grow and advance further in its region and state rankings. In 2012, the team made it to the Elite Eight of the State tournament after a ten year drought. In 2014, the team again advanced to the Elite eight while setting a new school record of 22 wins along the way. Last season, Coach Lenahan led the Lady Hoyas to a 23-6 record, a Region Finals appearance, and a trip to the Sweet Sixteen. The Lady Hoyas even obtained a #1 State ranking during this past season. Going into the 2016-17 season, Coach Lenahan is excited about the possibilities of his returning varsity players and talented up and comers.
